GROUP VOLUNTEERING

If you have a group from a church, business, family or friends that are looking for a way to volunteer together we have a few opportunities. One of the main ways a group of 10 or less people can serve is at our Thrift Store in Tigard. We always have a need for volunteers to partner with us in sorting and preparing donations to be sold. The revenue from the Thrift store goes right back to the Mission to fund homeless services and addiction recovery. The Thrift Store plays a vital role in the ministry of Union Gospel Mission and your group could contribute in a huge way.

Another way groups can really make a difference is to help us get ready for a big event. Several of our yearly events require a huge amount of preparation. These opportunities vary throughout the year but often include preparing hygiene bags, sorting and organizing clothing for our huge clothing give-away in September, food preparation for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to find out what opportunities are coming up and if they fit with your group.
