You can make a difference! Union Gospel Mission seeks to engage your talents and gifts in a meaningful volunteer experience for you that meets the needs of the homeless and addicted. Opportunities to serve include hospitality services for the homeless and needy, sharing God’s Word, teaching, working at the Thrift Store, driving a donation truck, office support, organizing a clothing or food drive and many more! The first step is to check out the “Volunteer Encounter” and decide how you would like to be involved.
WHAT IS THE VOLUNTEER ENCOUNTER ?
This is an orientation class offered once a month from 7pm-8:30pm for prospective volunteers. It is our desire to partner with you in God’s work through Union Gospel Mission. Attending the Volunteer Encounter will educate, inspire and broaden your horizons about homelessness and addiction. Our big events are Easter, Operation Overcoat the last Saturday in September, Love Your Neighbor Day on Thanksgiving and Christmas Brunch.
