Volunteers needed at Union Gospel Mission for “Operation Overcoat”
Seeking volunteers for clothing giveaway event

Portland, OR- Union Gospel Mission is seeking volunteers for “Operation Overcoat” a street fair event slated to take place on September 24. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles. In the week leading up to the event, volunteers are needed to sort and hang clothing. On the day of the event volunteers are needed to set-up and tear down after the event. People interested in volunteering should contact Union Gospel Mission at 503-274-4483. Operation Overcoat is a one-day street fair that takes place in front of Union Gospel Mission annually. At the event many thousands of articles of clothing are given away to men, women and children in need. A free barbeque meal is provided as well as free music.
