Union Gospel Mission plans graduation for LifeChange recovery residents
Five residents re-built lives after drug addiction

Portland , OR- Union Gospel Mission plans to honor five residents who have completed the LifeChange addiction recovery program on Sunday March 9 at Grace Community Church in Gresham . These five residents spent an average of four years in a comprehensive, long-term Christian based recovery program to overcome years of drug use. Four of the five residents used meth, and one of the graduates was abusing prescription pain medication, and then turned to heroin use.

In LifeChange these residents worked at Union Gospel Mission managing homeless services, and at Union Gospel Mission’s thrift store in Tigard. In addition, these residents completed a series of academic, life skills and Bible classes over the course of their recovery.

The graduates to be honored are Daniel Janes, Kurt Justus, Brek Paul, Doug Quinney and Brian Whitacre.
