Jazz CD to benefit Union Gospel Mission’s LifeChange addiction recovery program  

Portland, OR- Musician Brad Mersereau is dedicating the proceeds of his new CD “Autumn Waltz” to Union Gospel Mission’s addiction recovery program, LifeChange.

The “Autumn Waltz” CD release features some of Portland’s finest jazz musicians including Tom Grant, Nancy King, Steve Christofferson, Dave Captein, & Reinhardt Melz.  The CD may be purchased for $15.00 at Union Gospel Mission’s Thrift Store in Tigard, or online at www.ugmportland.org

Mr. Mersereau became a supporter of Union Gospel Mission and the recovery program, LifeChange after his experience of watching his late sister, Laura, struggle with addiction issues in her life.

“My first CD entitled, "Laura," was about her journey and my grieving.  The Autumn Waltz music project is dedicated to inspiration, creation and the joy of living.  It is healing to honor my sister's memory by offering hope and help to those folks who now choose to embrace sobriety for a lifetime,” said Brad Mersereau.

Mr. Mersereau has been instrumental in the fundraising efforts to build the new LifeChange Center at the corner of NW Third and Burnside Street. Union Gospel Mission’s new facility will enable the Mission to more than double the number of people served in the LifeChange addiction recovery program.
