Union
Gospel Mission Thanksgiving Food Drive
Food Drive takes place November 20
Portland,
OR- Union Gospel Mission's food drive will take place November
20 at Haggen Food & Pharmacy at 8515 SW Tualatin-Sherwood
Hwy from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. Union Gospel Mission is seeking
turkeys, gravy mix, butter, nuts and canned foods.
Donated food
will help Union Gospel Mission provide 1,200 Thanksgiving meals
for the homeless and needy on Thanksgiving Day. Union Gospel Mission
provides meals all year-round. Union Gospel Mission provides three
meals a day every weekday, as well as providing food boxes to
individuals and families in need.
"We hope
we will exceed our goals, because we can always use food at the
Mission to help individuals and families in need not only at Thanksgiving
but also throughout the year," said Bill Russell, Executive
Director of Union Gospel Mission.
The food drive
will feature some prize giveaways and a radio remote with KPDQ
AM & FM and 104.1 FM "The Fish"
